How do badges work?
Badges reward your activity on BetaSeries: what you watch, but also how you take part in the site (comments, quizzes, adding content…). Each badge you earn gives you 20 experience points.
To see your badges, open your profile and go to the Badges page.
Levelled badges
Some badges aren't earned just once: they progress through levels. Each one has its own pace, for example one level every 20 comments. Most stop at level 10.
"Fan of" badges
"Fan of" badges are reserved for BetaSeries Club members. They are earned person by person (actor, director, showrunner) by adding up points from their movies and shows.
You need 10 points per level, up to level 10, which means 100 points.
Points from movies
A movie counts if you've seen it and the person is in the top 12 of the cast or directed it. Every 2 movies give 1 point, and every 5 movies give 1 more point.
Points from shows
A show counts if you've watched at least one full season and the person is in the top 12 of that season's cast, or is the showrunner of the show. Each show gives 2 points, plus 1 point every 4 seasons watched.
How many movies or shows does it take?
| Level | Points | Movies only | Shows only |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 | 15 | 5 |
| 5 | 50 | 72 | 25 |
| 10 | 100 | 144 | 50 |
Movies and shows add up: 10 movies (7 points) and 2 shows (4 points) give 11 points, for example, which is level 1.
What doesn't count
- producers;
- individual episodes: only a season watched in full counts;
- rewatching a movie you had already seen.
